Four Star Cinema happens to be the best little secret in Westminster! Why because the movies are always new the theatre is clean and the food is reasonably priced. All theatres feature Hi-Def and Dolby sound. All movies before 12noon are only $4.00Family Discount Days Tuesday and Thursday are only $3.00 ALL DAY! They also have advance showings on the latest movies such as Twighlight for $5.00. Regular price tickets are also cheaper then what you would pay at the regular movie theatre I believe it's either $5.00 or $6.00.
The downside about this gem is the movie theatre is small and will get packed if your going to a newly released film. If you want to go to a newly released film buy your tickets early and arrive early the box office will let you know the best time to get there.
Other then that the movie theatre is clean, has some pretty good deals on food, the staff is helpful and friendly. Best of all you are enjoying a good flick on not scratching your head afterward wondering how in the world did you just spend $60.00 for you and your spouse to enjoy a movie.

Classic Closet Huntington Beach
Ok so there are a lot of myth's about thrift stores. One being the clothing is old ugly ragidy and unwearable. Some people tend to think thrift stores are for poor people who can't afford to go to retail stores and buy something brand new. Maybe that was true back in the day but, times are a changing and thrift stores are not only moving with the times there catching up. The Classic Closet is one of the best thrift stores I have ever been to.
1. This thrift store often gets new merchandise donations from several of the major department stores! Macy's, Bed Bath and Beyond, Jones of New York, Target and Walmart and sometimes the big guns give donations like Coach!
2. The items these department store donate are items that they were unable to sell (over stock) or merchandise that may have a slight defect (like a tear if it's clothing or maybe a missing sham or pillow case if it's bedding or maybe a scratch or ding if its furniture)
3. Why do they donate well hello tax right off! Ever wonder what all these major department stores do with the items they just can't sell or items missing a piece out of the complete set i.e bedding.
The store is pretty big and almost each day they have some type of sale like 50% off of all red tag merchandise. They have a senior day take an additional 10% etc. I don't know the donation rotation some days they'll get a shipment from Macy's or Target those days I do not know but it seems like everyday they are putting out new merchandise. The best thing about Classic Closet is the clothing selection they have some gems from casual wear, sports wear, evening wear and business attire. The jeans can be a great buy brand names from True Religion, Guess, our pal Calvin Klein retail price anywhere from $89.00 to $179.00 only $9.99 to $12.99! A nice Jones of NY Pant Suit will run you about $30.00 dollars or less depends if you catch a red tag sale or not! Jones of NY Pant Suit at Macy's your talking $150.00 easy! If it doesn't fit taylor it. It doesn't cost much your still saving money and most of all you will wear it business meetings etc. They also have a pretty good selection for men and children. For men they have variety of gems from Polo shirts, dress shirts, slacks and jeans.
They also sell furniture pieces I have a Mr. Fix It at home so I enjoy looking at some of the furniture a slight ding or scratch no problem a lil buff a little paint and it's new! They also have bedding and not the kind you would find in a bed in a bag for $40.00 at Anna's Linnen's. They have Ralph, Martha Stewart Calvin Klein bed in a bag for the same price you would pay at Anna's only of better quality. It might be missing a pillow case or sham so make sure you look at all the pieces and if it's a pillow case it doesn't cost much to replace the pillow cases with another matching color. The quality your paying for is well worth an extra trip to Ross or Anna's and gettting a replacement.
I would give yourself plenty of time to go through the store they have a huge selection of nick nacks, jewelry, sometimes good purse finds, I don't buy shoes but they do have them there.
The items I found today were:
Levi Jeans NEW $12.99 retail price $27.99
H&M Black Blazer New $13.99 retail price $29.90 (note to self glad I waited I was going to buy it at the actual retail store :)
Black Skirt $4.99 today sale tag was orange so it was 50% off.
Small Round tan/beige ottomon with internal storage for $12.99
Well thats all to report today.
So if you get that chance stop by at Classic Closet here is the website it doesn't give much detail but it's a must see on your shopping adventures http://www.ocgoodwill.org/classic_closet.aspx
Good luck and Happy Bargain Shopping!

My Shoe Hunt Adventure!
Who doesn't love a cute pair of hills some nice summer wedges or some sandles? I love shoes I have so many they are overflowing in my closet and my fiance dog has lost her spot three times due to my shoe fettish but, I make it up to her with treats and luv! I was on the hunt for some cute wedges first stop was in Long Beach CA they have two store locations all shoes 3 pairs for $20.00 yup that's right 3 pairs for 20 dollars. Yes I know what your thinking they must be made out of plastic and last 3 seconds before they completely fall apart. Here's a little insight into the 3 pair for $20.00 dollar deal
So the stores are small and they have a ton of different variety of shoes to go through. The shoes are of different brands Soda, Classified and others you would find at any regular shoe store at the mall I'm not talking Macy's or anything but those little boutique shops they have inside the mall. I didn't find really anything this trip. I do plan on going back and picking some summer flats in particular sandles. They have a ton of variety of gladiators and slip on sandles. I even saw a pair in 4 different shades that I picked up for my Step Daughter and paid $12.99 for the pair knowing in the back of mind they probably had them here and kicking myself that I didn't wait. An extra 7 bucks and she could have not only gotten them in black but added brown and white to her summer shoe collection oh well teens can't wait sometimes. They have two locations in Long Beach both are on Anaheim Street and they are just called 3 pairs of shoes $20.o0 that's the name of the store simple and to the point. One thing I do not like if you don't find 3 pairs you don't get the $20.00 discount (that sucks) the price for each shoe varies from $9.99 each to $11.99 so they make it worth it to buy the 3 pairs. They also have kid shoes so if you have a kid they do have really cute summer sandles and some "weekend" sneakers as I like to call it. They actually have a pretty good selection and some are also pretty cute for kids mainly girls not so much boys. If you are in the LBC have maybe an hour to spare check them out you maybe pleasently surprised.
The next stop on my shoe hunt was a store named Footsies they sell 3 pairs of shoes for $25.00 the store I used to go to in Huntington Beach CA closed so I checked out the store in Stanton they have two other locations one in Costa Mesa (need to check out) and one in Orange (need to check out). There I only found two gems the tan wedges made by Classified retail price $24.99 loves them cute and comfortable and the red floral sling backs made by Anne Michelle who I looked up on line her shoes run anywhere between $21.99 to $40.99. I am wearing the red slingback today which I love!
Now if you don't know floral prints are making a huge comeback this summer. I am not a huge floral prints fan. I am not the floral type of wearing kinda girl. Reminds me of my grandma but the shoes were very cute and I paired them with some jeans and believe it or not a grey shirt which made the shoes pop because they have a pink grey beige and red floral tone to them. The great thing about Footsies is you can buy a gift card for $25.00 this buys three pairs of shoes if you find two they stamp the two you found on the gift card and you can come back at a later date and find your last pair. This is great I hate settling for a pair of shoes I may or may not wear. If you don't buy the gift card they do sell the shoes individually but the cost is $12.99 pair so it's really not worth it.
My shopping adventures continue for more wedges and or sandles because of my gift card but if you would like to get an idea of what 3 pairs for $20.00 and Footsies has to offer here is a website I usually look at first before I go and either find the same shoes or something very similar http://www.lovemyshoes.com/ they have some cute shoes but the prices not that great. So if your in LBC, Costa Mesa, Stanton or Orange check out these stores and Happy Bargain Shopping!

30 Dollars or Less Outfit of the Week 06/11/10
It's always good to have at least one white dress in your closet. I hate white for the simple fact that it gets dirty very easily and for some reason I always stain my white pieces with something marker food you name it it's on there because of this I refuse to spend a huge amounts of money on white pieces like shirts, dresses even shoes. Here is the breakdown on my pick of the week $30.00 dollar or less!
I purchased a white Anchor Blue Dress brand new for $5.00 retail price $20.99 at the Rodium Open Air Swapmeet (I am planning a full review on this gem of a swapmeet on a later post)
Bracelet purchased at Yard/Estate Sale (Multi Use Piece) $2.00
Earring purchased at Yard/Estate Sale Find $0.50
Shoes purchased at Footsies 3 pair for $25.00 total cost $8.33
Handbag purchased at the $5.00 or less store in Las Vegas $5.00
Brown Cardigan (multi use piece) purchased at Mode Five $4.99
Total Cost $25.82 complete outfit!

This Weeks $45.00 or Less Summer Pick 06/05/10
Antique Jewelry is making a comeback for Spring and Summer. The thing I love about Antique looking jewelry is you can hold onto the pieces forever and it always comes back. One thing I don't like about Antique jewelry is it is a antique it is difficult to find and sometimes the pieces can b very expensive. A few Places to find some Antique jems which can save you some $$ of course Estate Sales or Yard Sales don't dismiss the Yard and Estate Sales. Take one weekend a day like Saturday start around 9ish block your route with the Penny Saver or local News Paper and just spend a couple of hours looking you really never know what you can find and that's the best part about it Estate sales. Some Y/E Sales have the coolest things from furniture to accessories like jewelry and handbags there is nothing better then finding a vintage handbag for $2.00!
So I found the antique looking necklace at the swapmeet (ha bet you thought I went to an Estate Sale). The swapmeet of choice was the Goldenwest College Swapmeet held every Saturday and Sunday at the Goldenwest Community College. I am going to go into some detail about this swapmeet because it is not like your average OC Swapmeet. First off they sell used and new items more used on Saturday more newer items on Sunday. If you like to go junking this is the place to be (junking means looking at junk fixing it up and making it into a jem). You need to take your time and look through the items especially the jewelry and handbags the buck stops at used shoes I find it difficult to wear shoes somebody else has worn. Jewelry is the best part there is a vendor at this swapmeet who has jewelry from Macy's, WetSeal, Charlotte Rousse and sells them super cheap so keep an eye out for her and him you can't miss it they also sell some really cute hair accessories. I also love to stop and look at the any purse $10.00 it's a hit and miss with this vendor sometimes they have some good deals other times not so much.
The earings were purchased at the $0.99 cent store yes I went to the 99cent store and had to dig through a bucket of misc items but well worth it for the buy, I also bought the matching turquois pair although I don't have much turquois in my wardrobe pairing with a cute pair of jeans and maybe a white shirt gives the total outfit a little bit of a pop.
The shirt was purchased at Styles 4 Less the stuff at styles for less is ok priced a little bit high for my taste but I love the sale racks and some of their weekly sale items can be a real find. Be sure to pick up a VIP Card that instantly gives you 10% off all your purchases for a year and 20% off on your B-Day this includes clearance so that's always nice plus they have locations everywhere in Southern Cali. They have some plus sizes but, just started with the plus size clothing so some stuff is limited.
I purchased the skirt at H&M retail price was $17.95 they had a sale so I ended up paying $12.95 for the skirt.
The shoes a little pricey for my taste but I couldn't resist the black wedge those were purchased at the Ontario Mills Mall (I'll go into details about this mall in another post but it is one of the best discount outlet malls I have ever been to!) for $19.99
I'll also post a pic of what the ensamble looks like all put together tomorrow. I just couldn't fit all the pics in one post or I couldn't figure out how to add one more pic.
Here is the breakdown on cost:
Earngs $0.99
Necklace $1.00
Shoes $19.99 (multiple use piece)
Skirt $12.95 (multiple use piece ok to spend extra if its a multi use piece)
Shirt $5.90 that is with 10% off (multiple use piece)
I know this is over the $30.00 or less price point but, there are several items which can be reused and fall into the category of multiple use pieces such as the skirt can be paired with white or cream blouse and shoes. The shoes can be paired with dresses and skirts and the shirt is black and can go with jeans slacks or another skirt. So each main piece does have a mutilple function which in the end saves me further dollars because I can mix and match with several other pieces.
That's all to report for $40.00 or less I have a $30.00 or less complete outfit which I have the pics but have not blogged about yet and will post this weekend sometime after I get the time to download pics and type something.
Next weekend will be summer dresses $10.00 or less accessories such as handbags for $10.00 or less. Happy Bargain Hunting and Good Luck!
This Weekends Finds $5.00 Dollars or Less
This summers fashion according to Glamor and Vogue magazine is going to be long earings big earings. The summer color is going to be turquois and a burnt orange. I am not a huge fan of big earings or long earings because they tend to hurt my ears and can be pretty heavy. To my surprise on my hunt for long big earings the prices were way out of my range I hate spending like $12.99 on a pair of earings that will probably go with one outfit. My hunt for inexpensive cute and light weight earings began this weekend. I found some pretty good deals the most I spent was $3.95 and that was for the turquois tribal style earings at H&M they are very cute and are light weight. I found the peace sign earings for $0.99 cents at the 99 cent store yes I had to dig through a bin of assorted stuff in the makeup isle but I felt it was well worth the effort in finding these earings. The rest of the earings were found at Young Fashion in Huntington Beach in a huge bin in the front counter for $99 cents. A little bit about Fashion Young besides having some really good deals on earings they have a huge selection of clothing all pretty reasonably priced. There is a problem with Fashion Young it's very clutered and unorganized. The racks can be hard to search and if your like me trying on clothing is a must I would suggest to get there early before the crowds show because they only have five fitting rooms in the back and often times there is a line to try on something. Also if you do go to Fashion Young be sure you are not in a rush and have plenty of time to search through the racks like I said before it is very unorganized and it will take some time to go through the wide selection of clothes. Don't worry if you are plus sized they have a very good selection of plus sized clothing to chose from. I especially like going to Fashion Young for summer dresses and cute shirts to go with jeans. They sell shoes and some are cute and the prices are ok but, wait until I post my 3 pairs for $25.00 that's right 3 pairs of shoes for $25.00 dollars. I'm on the hunt for some brown wedge sandles so I'll be posting that next weekend as well as my weekly $30.00 or less complete outfit of the week that includes clothing shoes handbag and accessories. That's all to report for this weekend Happy Bargain Hunting.
Introduction
So I hate paying full price on anything. I am always on the hunt for good buys and great deals. People have asked me to do a You tube post on all my deals I get but the idea of being on camara and posting videos of myself just seems like a lot of work I'm a typer I like to type and write. I'll be posting pictures and deals and where I got them. If your looking for something in paticular before paying full price ask me I ususally always know where to find the best deals on pretty much everything. Every week I plan on posting a mini blog about what I found where I found it and how much it costs. Finding the latest fashions can be pretty expensive but if you know where to go have some time then you can sometimes find the same exact thing in a magazine a particular store payng more then 75% off the retail price. So hope you enjoy the blog and keep an eye out on my latest deals.
